NHRA says they will analyze and evaluate the future of the Pro Stock Class claiming there's negative trends and low participation. Maybe if there was more than 3 teams with multiple cars all running leased engines with ridiculous rules and cookie cutter cars there might be more interest. The significant drop in participation is more than likely due to the ridiculous rules and costs to compete with the 3 present multi-million dollar, multi car teams in the Pro Stock Class. It saddened me to read this letter. Being involved with NHRA Pro Stock since the early 70's I'd sure hate to see this class eliminated. Maybe NHRA needs to go back and have a look at the roots of Pro Stock Racing and start analyzing and evaluating what they have done to ruin the Pro Stock Class.
